Sparkly Pony is a Swedish Berlin based DJ, producer and party organizer. His DJ career started early after he attended a DJ-workshop at the age of 14, and after years of practicing in his teen bedroom, he was able to get his first club gigs at the legal age of 18. His style has naturally evolved in many different directions throughout the years, and nowadays you’ll most probably hear him mix his favorite bouncy and percussive house tunes.
Sparkly Pony has been a solid contributor to the queer club scene around Sweden and Denmark, both through his DJ’ing, music production and organizing his own club nights named SWEAT. The club collective started throwing parties back in 2015, with a focus on uplifting queer, trans, and non-binary artists and creating safer and more diverse dancefloors. In 2022, SWEAT had their Berlin premiere and have since been unstoppable – be sure not to miss their event Chain Reaction at Den Anden Side this coming weekend.

1. Who is your mix dedicated to?
To all my friends who tirelessly show up to my gigs. <3
2. What inspires you at the moment?
The summer definitely inspires me. It’s my favorite season because I wake up excited for the day almost every day! So I was very happy to record this mix in July, because I feel like it translates my excitement.
3. What is filling your life musically right now?
The summer parties I’ve been attending and also playing at. Seeing friends play and discovering new artists along the way. Listening to new mixes everyday. DJ:ing at home with my new set-up!
