About Lydlaboratoriet
Lydlaboratoriet is a collaboration between Strøm and Art Music Denmark. The aim of the project is to both preserve and activate the cultural heritage associated with the many electronic devices used decades ago. Lydlaboratoriet (‘the sound lab’) is part of the project Lydskatten, which is a collaboration between Strøm, Art Music Denmark and Dansk Komponistforening and supported by Augustinus Fonden and Koda Kultur.
In 2023, the two musicians Anton Friisgaard and Liv Andrea Hildursdóttir were in residency at Lydlaboratoriet, where they each gave a presentation of their work at a public event as a culmination of their residencies. In 2024, composer, artist and musician Jacob Remin has also been in residency.
About Atikka
The Copenhagen based trance duo consists of Danish artist Susanne Cleworth (aka Xuri) and Australian artist John Cleworth. They played a hypnotic live-set on the Trans Metro Express in 2023 and as things go when the music is extraterrestrial, their time-slot expanded immensely and the hypnotized and sweaty audience could enjoy their music even longer.
