Invitation: Jacob Remin præsenterer sit arbejde i Lydlaboratoriet

Kom og oplev Jacob Remins præsentation af sit arbejde i Lydlaboratoriet, hvor han netop har afsluttet sit residency.

Præsentationen finder sted lørdag den 17. februar kl. 10-12. i Art Music Denmarks kontorer.

Fra den 8. januar og en måned frem har kunstner og komponist Jacob Remin været i residency i Lydlaboratoriet i Musikhuset København, hvor han blev udvalgt på baggrund af et open call i slutningen af 2023. Lørdag 17. februar inviterer Art Music Denmark og Strøm til arrangement med Remin, hvor han vil fortælle nærmere om sine eksperimenter proces under residenciet.

Remins projekt har fået titlen “instrumental magic’, hvor han har arbejdet ud fra en ritualistisk tilgang til dét at skabe musik med Lydlaboratoriets udstyr. Om projektet fortæller Remin:

“‘instrumental magic’ is an attempt at creating a series of rituals, a book for spells for listening to instruments. When performed, this method becomes a formula for transformation, an instrument in itself.”

Der vil være kaffe og te til alle deltagere.

Om Lydlaboratoriet
Lydlaboratoriet er et midlertidigt vintage-lydstudie, som er beliggende i Musikhuset København. Studiet indeholder sjældent musik- og lydudstyr fra flere årtier, som generøst er udlånt af den legendariske lydkunstner Gunner Møller Pedersen, DTUs audiologi-afdeling og den anerkendte elektroniske musiker Bjørn Svin. Derudover indeholder studiet også udstyr fra den afdøde lydkunstner Fuzzy. Udstyret er blevet fremskaffet i samarbejde med Maple Pools.

Lydlaboratoriet er et samarbejde mellem Strøm og Art Music Denmark. Hensigten med projektet er både at bevare og samtidig aktivere den kulturarv, der er forbundet med de mange elektroniske apparater, der kan tilgås i Lydlaboratoriet.

Arrangementet er åbent og kræver gratis tilmelding. Tilmeld dig og eventuelle kollegaer via tilmeldingslinket forneden. Der er et begrænset antal pladser.
