Vanessa Amara
Vanessa Amara, First time I heard Vanessa Amara was helping Birk dub tapes about 15 years ago in the old Posh Isolation store in Copenhagen. Since then I have had the privilege to follow their work closely and to call Birk my friend. Birk introduced me to many great things, Arthur Russel, Burial, 808s and Heartbreaks, the writings of Morton Feldman, probably many more things. Seeing them go from tape loops and organ melodies into the sample based music they make today has been a joy. The release of Café Life as the last release for Posh Isolation was for me a perfect way to close the shop. I saw them perform in Paris this year just after they got back from working with Rosalia in Los Angeles. So cool
Franciska
Franciska – Beautiful, thoughtful, purist tape music from Copenhagen. The latest album, Viser og Countryrock på fynsk on his label afvikling kassetter is beautiful.

Aase Nielsen & MK Velsorf
Opening nights by Aase Nielsen & MK Velsorf – Beautiful release
DR – P2
DR – P2 – Mostly I listen to the classical radio channel, the programming isn’t always great but there is something about other people listening to the same music at the same time that I find comforting. I have tried with NTS but I don’t get the same feeling of the people, maybe the listeners are too spread out?
