TWO TONS OF COMMUNITY SOUND SYSTEM

Strøm Sound System is a powerful, custom-built sound system designed for electronic and bass-heavy music. As a central part of our mission to support the Danish electronic music community, we offer the sound system free of charge to local event organisers across Denmark, ensuring professional-grade sound for both artists and audiences.

Originally built by Jah Tubbys in London, the sound system is highly versatile, capable of diverse setups ranging from a massive mono sound wall to classic stereo or quadraphonic installations. It is also modular, meaning it can be split into two identical – smaller, yet powerful sound systems – to support separate events simultaneously.

The arrangement is simple: Strøm covers all maintenance, insurance, and storage costs. Organisers are responsible for transport and hiring an approved sound engineer.

We encourage Danish electronic event organisers to apply for Strøm Sound System. Please review the terms below to get started.

You can always reach us at sound@strm.dk.

APPLY

Are you interested in featuring the Strøm Sound System at your event? Submit your application here.

Please note that demand is high and availability is limited, so we cannot support every project.

Selection is based on how well each event aligns with our mission. At Strøm, our support covers the widest range of electronic music, welcoming everything from abstract and avant-garde experiments to hardcore and bass-heavy sounds.

TERMS

Please read this section before applying.

Music Profile: You supply the music; we provide the soundsystem. Supporting local electronic music communities is our primary mission. We reserve the right to decline applications that do not align with our musical focus.

Care & Liability: You are responsible for the sound system and associated equipment during the rental period. You agree to cover the insurance excess in the event of damage. Strøm covers routine maintenance and insurance.

Crew & Handling: You must provide a minimum of four crew members to assist with the transport, load-in, setup, and load-out of the system. You will be doing the handling, the engineer will tell you how to set up etc.

Sound Engineer: You must hire a Strøm-approved sound engineer. The typical rate is DKK 4.500 + VAT per day/engineer, but depends on setup, length etc. We will assist with booking; please contact us at sound@strm.dk.

Transport: You are responsible for all transport. Note that the full system weighs over two tonnes; however, it can be split into two identical, smaller units if required.

Electricity: You must provide a reliable 32A 3-phase power supply (minimum 16A 3-phase). We provide all necessary cabling. 230V is NOT enough power for this sound system.

Branding: Please use the provided Strøm brand templates for crediting Strøm on your event material. Please include the Strøm logo for web and print, and tag @strmdk

Safety & Compliance: You are responsible for adhering to all event, safety and noise level regulations. The sound engineer has final authority regarding all sound levels and technical safety. Strøm can not be held accountable, it’s your event and your responsibility.

KODA/Gramex:  You’re in charge of all KODA and Gramex reporting and associated costs.

Reporting: Within eight days post-event, you must submit a report to us including:

-Name of event
-Date
-Location/venue
-City
-Name of organiser
-Ticket fee
-Full-lineup
-No. of paying guests

This data is compulsory as it’s essential for our public funding and allows us to continue supporting the Danish electronic music communities.
